It Started With A Search

Black Doulas UK was born from a deeply personal moment. When my sister was pregnant, she searched for a doula who would truly understand her journey - someone who could advocate for her, support her, and make her feel seen. That search wasn’t easy. And that’s when I knew something needed to change.

As a mother of two, I understand the weight of that experience. The worries, the questions, the moments where you just need someone in your corner who gets it.

Black Doulas UK was founded to make sure no one has to search alone. We exist to connect people with trusted Black doulas across the UK who bring not just expertise, but lived understanding.​

To build a platform where Black mothers, birthing people, and families can find trusted Black doulas who will support, guide, and advocate for them through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.​
